  • Routine Appointments - The doctor will see you in the surgery by appointment. This system is intended to reduce the time you have to wait and your co-operation is essential to make the system work. Appointments can be made online or directly with a receptionist, either by calling at the surgery or by telephoning on 028 9331 5835. The doctors consult on Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 - 11.10; 13:40 - 17:20 although actual surgery times do vary with each doctor. Routine appointments are opened every other Monday for the following 2 weeks.  Online appointments are also available to be booked 2 weeks in advance.
  • Emergency Appointments - Patients requesting urgent clinical treatment will be dealt with in accordance with the level of clinical need. Please either telephone the reception or make arrangements to attend the surgery between the hours of 8.30 and 10.00 am where you will be given an appointment and seen as quickly as possible.  However, please be prepared to wait during busy periods. You may also be seen or triaged by the Lead Practice Nurse.
  • Medical Emergencies - For emergencies Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 17:30 please telephone the practice on 028 9331 5834. Emergency requests will be given immediate attention by the receptionist and the doctor will be informed. Please do NOT misuse this line which must be kept free to deal with patients in need of emergency medical help!  The misuse of this emergency number can put genuine patients at risk and if you call this number for a non-emergency enquiry you will be requested to call back on an appropriate enquiry number.

On arrival at the surgery, to save queuing, you can use the ‘self check-in’ terminal in our reception area to book in for your appointment. Alternatively, please report to the receptionist on duty at the front desk, who will check you in and direct you to the waiting area.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

blue_telephoneTelephone Advice

If you wish to speak to the doctor by telephone you should telephone the Enquiry Line on 02893315955 and leave a message with Reception staff who will pass the request to the on-call doctor.  The Doctor on-call will then decide on what further action needs to be taken.

Interpreter Services

Any patient who wishes to have an interpreter present during a consultation should advise the practice at the time of making the appointment. Providing we receive sufficient notice the practice will gladly make the necessary arrangements with the Regional Interpreting Service.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason it is important to inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. You can now also do this ONLINE.

The Practice has implemented a more rigorous DNA policy and frequent offenders will eventually be removed from the Practice list. Please click on link for full details of policy.
