CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 UPDATES ARE ON OUR HOME PAGE - PLEASE KEEP YOURSELF UP TO DATE WITH THE LATEST GUIDANCE!

WITHDRAWAL OF AMBULANCE PATIENT CARE SERVICE (PCS)

We have received a letter from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) informing us that they have had to prioritise their workload to Urgent (999), Cancer and Paediatric patients and will no longer be able to transport patients to the majority of Outpatient appointments.  This comes into effect from Monday 23rd November 2020.

Patients will need to organise their own method of transport to and from outpatient appointments as this service is no longer available.

Please do not phone the practice to request transport as the withdrawal of the service is beyond our control and we will, unfortunately, be unable to help.

Appointment of Door Management Officer

In order to reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19 when attending the health centre we have had staff carrying out the function of door personnel.  Having conducted a risk assessment it was not sustainable to ask our own staff to continue to carry out this role so, together with Castle Practice, we have employed a gentleman to ensure that only patients with pre-booked appointments gain access to the surgeries.

We will be carrying out modifications to the main front entrance doors over the coming months to alleviate the need for anyone to physically have to stand there in person.

More information will be shared with you as the building works commence and progress.
